Thomasluke Flórez-Mansi is an innately musical and charismatic lyric tenor, originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico. Known for his exciting stage presence, sensitive musical artistry, and resonant warmth in tone color, he has captivated audiences in the U.S. and Europe with his expressive interpretations and quick musical aptitude.
A graduate of the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music, Flórez-Mansi earned his Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance while excelling in roles such as the Song Seller in Il Tabarro, Marco in Gianni Schicchi, and as a cover for Tamino in Die Zauberflöte. He was also the tenor soloist for Haydn’s Creation (2021) and received the Outstanding Recital Award (2020).
His early achievements include winning first prize at the Vocal Artistry Vocal Competition (2017) and performing as a selected tenor with the Young Voices of the Santa Fe Opera (2015–2018). He has since been a featured soloist with the Santa Fe Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, the Sangre de Cristo Chorale, and the tenor section leader and cantor at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi. In addition to performing, Flórez-Mansi has taught voice, guitar, and marimba, served as a vocal coach at St. Michael’s High School, and taught voice at the New Mexico School for the Arts.
Recent international performances include Dan Forrest’s Requiem for the Living with Vox Anima, London and The Evan’s Choir in London (2022), the roles of the Prologue and Peter Quint in Britten’s The Turn of the Screw at the Trentino Music Festival in Italy (2023), and the title role in Mozart’s La Clemenza di Tito at the Austrian American Musical Festival in Salzburg (2024).
Now based in Manhattan, Flórez-Mansi is a member of the Marble Collegiate Church Choir in New York City, and an active soloist and educator. He teaches guitar with Music To Your Home and is currently completing his Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance at Mannes School of Music at The New School, where he will graduate in 2026.
In winter and spring of 2025, Flórez-Mansi appeared in multiple productions with Mannes Opera, performing scenes as Tamino in Die Zauberflöte, Tito in La Clemenza di Tito, and Alfredo in La Traviata in Sceneworks; covering Oronte in Handel’s Alcina; performing in the chorus for Alcina; and portraying Mechtild in the world premiere workshop of Hildegard by Sarah Kirkland Snider, commissioned by Beth Morrison Projects (BMP). He also performed the role of Uncle Percy in Ricky Ian Gordon’s This House with Opera Theatre of St. Louis’ Works & Progress Performance.
With a dynamic and ever-growing career, Thomasluke Flórez-Mansi is dedicated to bringing expressive, technically agile, and emotionally resonant performances to audiences worldwide. As he enters his final year at Mannes and auditions for various young artist programs, he looks forward to continuing his artistic journey in New York City and beyond.
